The terms that apply when you order laboratory analyses or request a professional report interpretation from Hilmi Lab.
Scope
These terms govern your use of the Hilmi Lab website and the services ordered through it, including laboratory analyses and the consultant-led report interpretation service.
The interpretation service
The interpretation service provides a written professional opinion on the documents you upload. It is a second-opinion service and does not replace an in-person consultation, diagnosis or treatment by your treating clinician.
Not an emergency service
Interpretations are not delivered in real time. If your symptoms are severe or worsening, contact your doctor or emergency services immediately.
Your responsibilities
You confirm that the documents and clinical information you submit relate to you or to a person for whom you are legally authorised to act, and that the information provided is accurate and complete.
Fees and payment
The interpretation service is charged at £20 per request, payable at the time of submission. Laboratory analyses are charged at the prices shown in the catalogue at the time of ordering.
Refunds and cancellation
Requests may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before a consultant begins the review. Once the review has started, the fee is non-refundable as the service has been performed.
Turnaround
Indicative turnaround times are given in good faith. Complex cases or incomplete documentation may require additional time and we will notify you if this applies.
Liability
Our opinion is based solely on the material supplied. We are not liable for outcomes arising from incomplete, illegible or inaccurate documents, or from clinical decisions taken without consulting your treating clinician.
